Buenos Aires, April 14 (NA) – Amidst a challenging economic landscape, with rising inflation and management overshadowed by the influence of Manuel Adorni, Javier Milei, and Luis Caputo, they will seek to secure business support at a key event this Tuesday. It will be the AmCham Summit 2026, the annual gathering of the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina, where they will attempt to reaffirm to American financial circles that the economic program remains consistent despite the turbulence. Under the motto “A Federal Argentina in Development,” the meeting between the leaders of the libertarian administration and the so-called “red circle” comes just hours before Caputo’s mission to Washington. According to official sources, the head of the economic portfolio will open the day at 8:00 AM and then travel directly to the United States, where he will join Santiago Bausili (BCRA) to participate in the IMF’s Spring Meetings. Meanwhile, the President will speak on the economic direction at 6:00 PM. These companies represent 42 sectors of the economy and contribute 24% of the national GDP, 39% of tax revenue, and 45% of Argentina's total exports, according to a statement processed by Agencia Noticias Argentinas. Alejandro Díaz, CEO of AmCham Argentina, stated that the event “has become the benchmark space that brings together the main decision-makers in Argentina to build an agenda that lays the foundations for sustained growth.” The debate will focus on strategic sectors such as agribusiness, energy, mining, and health. AmCham Argentina brings together more than 700 companies that directly employ 420,000 people. In an interview, he expressed hope that inflation will start at zero in August. The topics of the Summit The Summit will be held under the motto “A Federal Argentina in Development” and will address the challenges of strengthening competitiveness and consolidating an environment for investment. Like the head of the Treasury, the event comes on the heels of another trip by the economist to Israel, where he was invited to participate, from April 19 to 22, in the events for Independence Day. During his stay, he was invited to the traditional torch-lighting ceremony, one of the central events of the celebration. At 4:00 PM on the same Tuesday, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for March will be released, and in La Libertad Avanza, they expect the figure to be 3% due to the impact of fuel prices following the war in the Middle East. Milei will likely address the situation. In any case, Casa Rosada clarified that the trip was subject to the security recommendations of the Casa Militar due to the conflict in the country governed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This will be Milei's third official visit to that country since he took office, in line with his administration's marked diplomatic rapprochement with both Israel and the United States. While Milei prepares to close the AmCham event with a speech on his “vision of transformation,” according to the organization, all eyes will also be on the INDEC.
